First It depends on your cameras shooting mode and codec (AVC-Intra, AVCHD, XDCAM) Whether you should use 50p. In most cases when that is can use 25p editing. Second 1080i is interlaced (odd / even lines making up the image, 1080p is progressive or non-interlaced (no odd / even lines) 3 If you are using AVCHD, it takes a fast computer to decode it on the fly for smooth playback. ? Several solutions for this. 4 You can convert the video P2 DVCPro to speed UP5. Encode is 100 CPU speed

There are a few issues I need dealt with: 1) There’s no option for 1080/50p (unless that’s 1080i) 2) What’s the difference between 1080i and 1080p3) playback of the footage is extremely slow even know I do not have to render it. 4) If I take the FPS down down and the aspect (eg 1080p to 720p (on top of that would work 1080i to 720p)), will it make a difference? 5) Does it usually take 5 hours to export? The video with media encoder regards Milex-Productions

should be fine? just use the PAL settings / presets.

  4. MilexProductions Says:

What if you’re in the UK and it’s pal? Plus my camera is 50fps does it matter if? it’s scaled down?

  5. dhelmly Says:

Tommy – Expect fourth 2 next month. A few cool thing in there. We’ve re-done a number of settings on HD to SD scaling as people? were reporting issues. Panasonic AVC-Intra support imports as well.

Good catch! – We are always working on new? stuff. I was in the process of testing our newer exporter week that I shot that video. As always – stay tuned. . . more coming.

Hi, On your media encoder export settings I see you have a “XDCAM HD Movie” option. How did you get this? As I dont have that as an option on my encoder? Is it a separate plug-in? Or a Mac thing as using the PC? Any info would be great. Thanks. ? Tom

This is the same video that is on the adobe site. But the player on the adobe site is horrible. Thank god you put it up on youtube. Unfortunately I had to suffer through 29 minutes (of crashes, stutters? Recueing and difficult, not to mention the commercials, on multiple attempts, to get to the point where you tell us you posted it on this alternative site.

how can u work with that AVID? Is it so? complex, and un-flowing: or maybe its just coz i started off with Premiere, did i say that? :]

  11. dhelmly Says:

Completely different than fourth update 01. ? Just use the updater under the Help menu

  12. dhelmly Says:

Found out for myself, installing now?

Is this the same update as 4th 0th 1? I installed that in early May, and had the problem of crashing on opening Encore, and a few other problems with Premiere as well. The tech support told me? to uninstall as this was a know issue with the update. OMG. . . glad they fixed the export frame. The new updates look way cool.

  15. olliejamesdrums Says:

IS the update free? As I’ve got the CS4? Production Premium:)
